Typography Installation

As part of Deb Morrison’s creative portfolio class at the University of Oregon, I collaborated with a team of four of my peers to create a typography installation made entirely of cardboard. Read about our complete process on my blog. Drawing inspiration from Jay Quercia, who crafted a similar installation in 2009, we sought to illustrate an uplifting or passionate quote applicable to all students in the journalism school. Using only cardboard, paper, X-ACTO knives, spray glue and velcro, Renee AlvaradoCorey HaugenHolly SchnackenbergKristen Mohror and myself broke away from the digital world to inspire our colleagues with an ambient, well-executed display of design, craftsmanship and collaboration:
